Mary Payton’s Miracle Foundation was formed in March of 2008 in honor of Mary Payton Vigil,
a resident of Mandeville, Louisiana. Mary Payton is a beautiful 5 year old girl who was diagnosed at the end of January 2008 with Late Infantile Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (LINCL), sometimes referred to as Batten Disease
(www.bdsra.org). The mission of this foundation is to help provide funding for treatment to families whose lives have drastically been altered due to this devastating disease. We will provide support for research in order to one day find a cure for LINCL so that no child will have to bear this burden. We envision a world where every child affected by Batten Disease will receive treatment to relieve symptoms of the disease and potentially reverse it's devastating effects. We will raise national awareness of this disease through news media, word of mouth, email and whatever deemed necessary in order to increase funding for research and make it possible for miracles to occur. We will raise funding for research and support for families who need financial assistance. We will provide grant opportunities for families whose lives have been unalterably affected by LINCL. Mary Payton's Miracle Foundation believes that providing support for research to occur will lead to an eventual cure for LINCL. As people become aware of the disease and share their resources, knowledge and skills, a network dedicated to the hope for a cure will grow. We are determined and will not give up. For more information visit the foundation website at www.marypaytonsmiracle.com.

Warpath Race Cars started in 1991. Joe Hidalgo, Jr. is the founder along with his wife, Sheryl Hidalgo. Although Joe has been racing since the age of 16, he started racing at the track in 1989. His father exposed him to racing at an early age. Racing has always been a part of Joe's life. Currently, Joe builds racecars so others can satisfy their need for speed.
Joseph has the same racing desires as his Dad. Even though Joseph is fortunate enough to race, he's still a youngster with homework and friends that keep him well rounded. And like any other good parents, Joseph's education takes priority…Yes, even before racing! If Joseph gets bad marks, he is not allowed to race. For more information visit www.warpathracecars.com.

National Press Photographers Association was founded in 1946. In the first issue of National Press Photographer (published in Boston, Mass. in April 1946), an editorial on the front page proclaimed, "With this issue is born a voice, one that has been mute much too long." In the early years, the struggles included trying to get cameras allowed into the courtrooms and to improve government/media relations. And, in fact, many of the programs that NPPA has today including the "job bureau" as it was then called, an insurance program, "The Complete Book of Press Photography" and programs for "newsreel cameramen" had their start back in the late 1940s.
But they've grown as have many of NPPA's other programs. Today, NPPA hosts eight national and regional workshops of various types on everything from general photography and motivation to television photography and technology. Today, NPPA has a Job Information Bank that posts several job openings every week. Today, NPPA has an e-commerce store, an AV Library and publishes materials that are in demand by researchers, students, instructors and photojournalists all over the world.
Membership in NPPA is open to professional news photographers and all others whose occupation has a direct professional relationship with photojournalism. All members receive a monthly copy of News Photographer magazine, The Best of Photojournalism Yearbook and 2 Volume Television Winners' DVD, regional publications, access to the Job Information Bank, discounts on all NPPA programs and eligibility to enter all NPPA contests. For more information on the NPPA visit www.nppa.org.
Pelican Graphics was founded in January of 2002 primarily as an embroidered apparel company. Pelican Graphics started manufacturing shirts, caps and jackets and quickly developed a place in the corporate apparel field.
As a natural extension of their services, customers began requesting silk screened T-shirts. Pelican Graphics added the capability to print T-shirts before the end of their first year.
Once the silk screening process was established they looked for other applications. Noticing the huge volume of political campaign signs in the area, Pelican began manufacturing silk screened election signs. Customers then wanted full color signs and banners. This exceeded the capability of traditional silk screen equipment. Pelican Graphics purchased their first digital full color sign machines in 2003. This equipment expanded their services into window lettering, vehicle graphics and vehicle wraps, magnets and a host of other applications.
Many of their customers were automotive dealers and they grew to a nation wide supplier for these dealerships. To satisfy the needs of the automotive world, Pelican Graphics began supplying wholesale balloons and promotional items across the country. For more information visit www.pelicanusa.com.
Bag of Donuts, since 1988, has entertained and "offended" thousands of people, stealing their hearts and other people’s songs. Over the years they have done their best to create colorful shows and entertain their fans with wild stage antics, outlandish costumes, and strange renditions of popular songs, winning multiple awards along way. In 1998, they went into the studio to record an original CD aptly titled "Glazed And Confused”, and followed up a few years later with a Live CD recorded at the House Of Blues in New Orleans. They have played thousands of gigs over the years and have been lucky enough to travel to places like Jamaica, Cozumel and all the way up to cold Minnesota to play. In 2003, the culmination of years of hard work brought them to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival which they one day hope to play again. New Orleans is a part of Bag Of Donuts just as Bag Of Donuts is a part of New Orleans.
The band covers a wide variety of music from the 1960's through today's alternative, including TV show and movie themes. The band is made up of four characters. John Duplantis is the easily lovable front man who can make an audience leave their worries at the door and enter a world of sheer stupidity, hilarity, and rock and roll bliss. Kevin George is the thunder behind the storm, clowning on the drums, and is the main song writer of the band. Jonathan Hoerner is the Kiss look-alike lead guitarist who makes sure the crowd doesn't forget the show is rock and roll and comedy. Jerry Christopher, more stupidity and jaw-dropping bass playing. These four members have many years of road training and entertainment under their belts and are sure to keep any crowd partying all night long.
The Donuts need to be seen to be appreciated! Twenty years and counting of entertaining and enthusiastically representing New Orleans throughout every show. They are guaranteed to make an audience of any ages laugh, rock out and enjoy themselves provided the audience has beating hearts.
